Ehh...

Just finished.

3.5/5? Maybe even 3/5.

It was more fukked up than scary. And outlandishly fukked up at that.

Will have to read up more on the story background.
:gucci:How ya name levitate and you not giving it a 10/10 based off this alone

best thing about this movie is Paimon being based on a real character in the Lesser Key of Solomon
The fact that it was such an occult reference to base the movie on made it 10x creepier

I remember googling about Paimon after the movie came out to find nothing but some creepy old websites :damn:

Horror fan, here. Takes a minute to get going. Creep factor is played more in the beginning. Like you know very bad things are gonna happen, just not when or how. When stuff does happen, it catches you off-guard. Not like 'jump-scares', but similar.

I'll say this about it, though; It'll make you pay attention to shadowy spots around you as well as stuff in your peripheral vision.

I was sorta let-down, overall. Not scary, but intriguing story. Makes you wanna see it play-out. I watched it, alone, @ 3 am, then watched Bone Tomahawk. That one was uncomfortable to watch.

Here’s the thing. The movie isn’t the scariest, but what it does, and does well...is it leaves you in a very uneasy feeling for pretty much the whole thing. Then shyt gets ramped up to 10 real quick. I loved it. Ain’t no jump scared to give you a break, it leaves you in that EXPECTING a jump scare all movie and the payoff is so worth it and fukked up. Loved that shyt.

it didn’t scare me it just had me like :wtf: the whole movie.
Daughter getting decapitated, the granny on fire outside, the lady yelling at the son across the street, seeing Charlie’s head, the bugs, headless granny in the attic, mom on the wall in the back, possessed mom chasing the son, naked old people, the headless grandma bowing to paimon. It was all so weird! Also why did Charlie cut the birds head off??
That’s what I love about it. I LOVE horror movies but I’m mostly into like psychological thrillers and eerie horror (like identity,Donnie darko , vivarium, the others, the awakening) etc so this was right up my alley lol. Also another good one is The hole in the ground.
