I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
Hooper too

“Not a shark like that. In these waters?!”

:gucci: “ let’s be sure”

"Look, fellas, this is not the time or the place to perform a half assed autopsy on a fish. :whoa:"

I always remember the first time I saw JAWS and thinking ":whew: Good. They caught it. The terror stops. Movie over. Right? RIGHT? :merchant:" And then Hooper kept talking.

Watching it again for the third time in my life. I have more of appreciation for this movie now that I’m into nature. Always gave it props, but it never hit me deep.

that final shot by Schreier and the death of Jaws is REAL satisfying :banderas: that motherfukker would not be stopped

A+ film...there are a couple of shots that are still amazing like the zoom in on Roy Schreier on the beach when Jaws came back for the first time..

I did a re-watch on all 4 JAWS movies last month around the 50th anniversary. I'm surprised how well the first one held up and how good the shark looked. It was longer than I remembered but it worked. The sequels progressively got worst each one.

I always give someone the side eye when they say the shark looked fake. No, it didn't. The animatronic may not be 100% flawless in HD, but Spielberg barely showed it for most of the film — which is what made it terrifying. What you imagine is always worse than what you see.

And when you do see it? It actually looks pretty real, especially when it’s partly submerged, coming out of the water, or thrashing. There’s texture. There’s weight. There’s presence. And if someone thinks it looks fake, ask them to name a better-looking shark from any other shark movie. Because odds are… they can’t.

Besides, most real great whites do look a little unnatural — that mouth, those eyes, the weird way they move — it’s eerie.

Quints death scene is maybe one of the best deaths in movie history. Shark looks terrifying.

There's no way you can tell me Jaws didn't directly influence NOPE and Godzilla Minus One.
