I remember when mortal kombat was under fire for all the gore and shyt. Early 90s.

That's what I was thinking..we played street fighter ,mortal Kombat,and double Dragon where it begins with a dude punching a lady in the stomach and kidnapping her.

For people disagreeing, why we didn’t we see mass school shootings while our parents and grandparents were in school in the 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s & 70s? If violent games/tv/movies have no effect here, then there should have always been mass shootings at schools but that obviously wasn’t the case. What changed between then and now?

Schools had shooting teams in some areas. Parents were allowed to spank their kids without being called abusers. Basic manners towards others was taught more. Adults were the adults and the kids were the kids. Now, some kids run the household.

Kids used to play cops and robbers and cowboys and indians. With guns and bows and arrows. 90% turned out to NOT be psychopaths or killers. Video games are just fine. People are just too damn sensitive and let the TV raise their kids. That's all.

I been wondering this

I think most kids know the difference between reality and a game, but for some games like GTA, I would wonder ablut my kid if thats ALL he plays.

Like I got one gaming homie and its ALL he plays and like playing. It's weird because hes the most scary nikka I know in real life.

He hates any games where it requires any actual strategy, thinking, or technique.

Even other shooting games. He likes the fantasy of running around online doing a bunch of nothing and just blowing shyt up without consequences. Then when we play a game that requires team and strategy, he's often the first one to die doing stupid shyt, or not with the team, or running away in firefights, etc
