i think it's his best. The input from Jon Brion is definitely something that pulled it all together . Not to discredit Ye from what he had to do with the album .

I think the arrangements and instrumentation are excellent. The features were on point.

I like most of his stuff , but I'd have to say the thought and overall musicality of what was going on here is the polar opposite to where Kanye finds himself now, post- MBDTF ...

Great record.

my least favorite kanye album.

"so many aunts we could have an aunt team"

cringe worthy.

Kanye does this at least once an album though. I expect it now.
Hell, he's never really been a GREAT lyrical rapper. Kanye does have verses where he just snaps and spits some shyt though.

Based on just the music itself, LR > every other Kanye album.
And LR to 808's Kanye > early backpacker Kanye, fashionista Kanye, and Big Sean verse rapping Kanye.

It's not a punchline song, you've got to listen to different songs in different ways. Roses is one of his most powerful songs. 1 bad punchline, doesn't affect the quality of the song or the album for that matter.

Graduation is my favorite Kanye album but this is a close 2nd. Graduation was perfect though to me. He stepped his bars up on it and the production was very different but still ground breaking.

Definitely his best album imo and a sure hip hop classic all around. It's hard to pick up an album that is the perfect time stamp. Nas,Jay,Cam,Paul wall etc. Just beautifully executed. Album had something for everyone and never sounds dated.
