Should the government pay for women's birth control?

Does anyone know if medicare covers the pill? I'd imagine it does.

Yup. This issue is constantly misrepresented, even by the threadstarter. Why are people talking about eugenics and abortion? Its got nothing to do with this issue. Its not about the government specifically funding birth control, its about the government allowing birth control medication to be covered by the same health plans that already cover heart medication, diabetes medication, psychiatric drugs etc etc.

The answer is obviously yes.

There is a common fear that after you have "state sponsored" birth control, next comes the state saying who MUST and who SHOULD use BC.
