I initially rushed in to say nooooo, no way should there be any auto - banning of people at a certain rep level.
My rationale was because of how easily frauded the rep system can be, and the fact that many neg-rep having posters actually have impressive dap/message ratios.
That tells me that their negative rep came not from trolling, but from having an unpopular opinion at one point or on a specific topic, probably got choo choo'd.
But experience teaches you that in life.. most times.. the one with the un-popular opinion..is.. usually ..the smart one.
Ridicule is always, and will forever be, the burden of genius.
Having a neg rep, but decent dap/message ratio mirrors that.
