would you rather I call it a "cartoon?" That fukking word is dead for adults fam.

Know your audience. For most Americans anime will mean some sappy big-eyed kids show or some ultra-violent megazord mecha epic with ever-increasing and unbelievable super powers. Tighten up your elevator pitch and call it an "animated action-adventure" and investors/grownups will be more likely to pay attention.

Keep grinding. :salute:

Good animation you can see the weight and regal nature he possesses :ehh:
Don’t know if you heard but Netflix is having growing pains fighting with these other services and they’re losing subscribers
They need actual good content now so they might be more willing to make deals

How is this an anime if its made in America? Why are Americans so quick to appropriate anime?:mjlol:

It's funny you say appropriate when the word "anime" is a loanword from English. And the Japanese also call cartoons (and animation from everywhere else) anime.

But to answer your question you can blame some of that on Netflix. They've been branding their western/non-Japanese animation for the adult/teen demographic as anime, the word cartoon has been repurposed for kids only just like @pugnathemighty said.
