Because making that decision is a grown man choice you have to deal with, good or bad. If you're in the predicament of possibly not being one of 250+ players selected, you probably shouldn't be thinking of declaring. Hell, most people declare due in part to "Well what if you come back and get hurt? Nah, leave and get your money." But now you wanna come back like shyt's cool because you listened to the wrong people? Now the risk of staying and getting hurt ain't that serious to you? Can't have it both ways.I know the rules. I was asking for your reasoning for supporting them. We all know that "amateurism" is a complete sham.
Everything you said can happen just during the agent vetting process or just in general for a big time college athlete Tre. Why should guys be punished just because they tried to go pro and weren't good enough? It's nothing more than a means of keeping guys in check and punishing them for trying to capitalize on their own talents rather than having all those benefits go to the school/conferences.
If they wanna capitalize on their talents, great. But when shyt doesn't work out for you on that level, deal with it. You can always go back to school, but that spot on the team will be better served going to a player smarter than you.
Who exactly is hurt by allowing this? All this rule does is guarantees that the player is hurt if they do listen to the wrong people or overestimate their stock. You act as if that is some unforgivable sin.
. I just want to know who it hurts.
