Should we refrain ourselves from using the word "nikka"?

How do you feel about the N word? Do you think it's a term of endearment, or it's still a negative word because of its previous history? Do you believe if black people stopped using the N word, we would be treated with more respect? (Not my beliefs just repeating what someone said in another thread). Do you think other ethnicities (white, Mexican, etc) have the right to use the N word? Discuss. Many former athletes such as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and black activists have said the N word is detrimental to out community and should cut out from our vocabulary.

Personally, I try to use the N word at least as possible. I use it but it's not something I throw it every other sentence. Even if we stopped using nikka, it wouldn't change the way white people view us and won't end police brutality.
I say what i want when i want and cacs wont stop seeing you as a ****** because you stopped saying nikka. Pointless conversation. Do what you want though. Stop or dont stop, not gonna mean a thing.

Yes do it I can't wait till we ban the word Nikka so that racism will finally be over and well have equality in this country, and they'll be no more drugs and guns and gangs in the community and it'll make Fathers have to be in their children's lives and end world hunger and it'll also find a cure for cancer and Hiv/aids

Blacks are the problem. If you're going to use 18th centuries racism as a crutch in defending your stance on why the African American race is in the shape its in today then you honestly don't or refuse to see the situation for what it actually is. At this point in time blacks are in fool controll of their actions, contrary to popular belief from some of you paranoid consipiracy bandwagoners, the white man isn't some pupet master pulling the strings to keep your population down. It's a matter of cause and effect really you act a certain way people treat you a certain way you commit a crime you get arrested you conduct yourself in a loud, obnoxious and belligerent manner no one is going to want anything to do with you.

Dylan Roof.

Lol at running the whole country and blaming the minority for racism. You are again trying to trick us into subservience. This is what you want when you say we are the problem, whether you recognize this or not. Your destructive, psychopathic, tendencies stem from a fear for survival mentality and inferiority complex you feel from comparing your skin to your darker skinned counter parts.

Let's leads you to dehumanize your "enemy" when in reality you are simply afraid of darker skin. It's like your eyes must burn when you see us and look at yourselves.

How fukking pathetic. Allow the differences. Take a deep breath and calm yourself. I can't believe you sit around thinking about how your whiteness will be swallowed up by melanin.

Do you understand how rudimentary your fear is? Do you understand how simple minded you have to be to think about skin color like this? And calling it black and white must make it even harder for your mind to comprehend the non-literal reality of those terms.

But what type of thinking do you expect from the view point of a brainwashed, narrow minded slug. You have a very low consciousness and you shouldn't be allowed to speak unless you have anything enlightening to say, which won't happen for awhile.

I'm doing nothing of the sort I'm trying to have you understand that blacks should try to live above the stereotypes which the majority obviously refuse to do and because you're a p*ssy who can't handle the truth and runs to your boyfriend in an attempt to ban me before I can even reply I'll leave you these words of wisdom. You're the cause of your own misery own it.

Personally I think it sounds stupid af. I pretty much stopped saying it and Im glad that other black folks around me realize how stupid it sounds. We calling each other the same word that was being yelled at people being lynched, or slaves in a field. Idk how that's a term of endearment but I can't tell other people how to feel about it.

I've found myself using it less and less as I've gotten older. I never use it in front of people of other races. Younger generation can stop the use by not saying it and not letting their friends of other races say it Ole heads can't be stopped though

Derp. Says the one that opened the conversation with "black people are the problem."

I take responsibility for myself. That finger pointing mentality is the sign of a lame who isn't doing anything with themselves.

A sense of entitlement and a touch of self righteousness is good for the soul. Your missing the tree looking at the leaves.

I do think black people need to be more aware of the history and where/when they use it. Just because you turn ****** into nikka and it's considered to be a compliment in this era doesn't change the fact it used to be a word that was meant to define us and hold us back as a race. I do use "nikka" but not as frequently as I used to. Even though nikka is supposed to be a term of endearment it can still be viewed in a negative way. I also want to say that even if black people stopped using the N word, it wouldn't have much as of a impact. It's just a word and won't change the fact that we're getting murdered in the streets for just being black.

The coli needs to ban c00n too. That word is way overused and used in the wrong circumstances.
