We should keep the laws how they are. You will never be able to stop a lone nutcase from taking many lives, if he feels like it. If it isnt a gun, a maniac can make a home made anything and take many lives.

Instead America should look to change the culture of violence that it perpetuates to the world. America should seek to cease making icons out of homocidal maniacs. We sell kids toy guns, we indulge in violent entertainment. Perhaps the culture needs to be changed, not so much access to weapons. Sweden has Heavy gun ownership yet, they dont have nearly the same kind of handgun related deaths. What aspects of their culture make this possible. We are adults, not babies.

I don't know of anything else that would help. If guns are in the constitution then it is what it is, but someone who is crazy (like James Holmes) should never have guns at all, why let a few screw it up for all. In fact if you commit any felony, I feel you should never be allowed have a gun

Police don't prevent crime from happening, they get their after it's finished.

They are a deterrent at best but that still won't prevent crime and I don't want to see cops everywhere I go.

Not always the case. In many instances they go to gun shows and buy them from the guys showing them off. The guys overcharge but they dont care.

Every few years, something crazy will happen...people start to panic thinking "if we change this law, that never wouldve happened!" but it wouldve...true u couldve delayed it, or made it more difficult to access needed equipment to do the job

I think everything comes back to your family...how u were raised, your support system, people checking in on you...feeling loved and having people/role models put u on the right path

U dont just randomly shoot up a movie theatre...there had to be a lot of things that led to that, probably stemming mostly from childhood (speculation of course)
