I went to one and paid out of pocket for the tuition. So I left debt free, even though I still have a few credits left before I can graduate.

The downside is that everyone commutes, so it won't help your social life, unless you're proactive about it. There were a lot a cool people and a lot of them were really smart. I went to one of the top ones in the country though. Just make sure that you go to a good one.

Funny thing is you'll often run into people you went to HS with and they ended up CC after fukking up at a university

I did CCAF and went JC after I got out, I transferred to a uni after. JC counselors are WOAT though so you gotta stay on top of your credits and prereqs. If you plan on getting on with a trade JC is insane. They have pathways where you can be union certified in the two years it takes to get the classes. Add in the fact that in Cali you get the first two years of jc tuition free if you are full time and it's pretty crazy.

Don’t go to CC if you can go to a 4-year.

An AA is better than nothing, but a lot of jobs require a BA just to get an interview. Do these jobs actually require a BA to perform them? Nah. It’s just a stupid piece of paper you need. It opens doors. It doesn’t even matter what you get the degree in, it just matters that you have one. :ld:

try to avoid too many student loans, but also remember that some debt may be worth it if it provides some future employment opportunities. Just make sure you get the degree. Having student loans without a degree is WOAT

Should you attend community college first, then transfer to a university. Or just go straight to an university.
Yes.

In fact, if you can get your associates while in high school that would be great.

Depends on your situation. I did. Set me up nicely in terms of time to figure what I wanted to do and financially as well. Got that 4.0 and transferred. Now about to graduate from medical school.

I wouldn’t proactively recommend it to anyone who isn’t ALREADY thinking about it. But there’s no problem with it at all. It has a certain stigma to it but shyt I made it from there to Stanford. Go figure

give us more information bossman we can share our wisdom with you and help you find your way. I love mentoring and giving game to others bro. All we have is us
I'm literally following your path from cc to uni to try for med school.

Was there a substantial jump in difficulty from cc to uni?
