I just played it for about an hour and this shyt is legit so far. The game has a strong 
NES and Mega Man vibe to it too.

It's just digital. I don't think a NES looking game would sell at retail these days.

Spectar Knight mopped the floor with me for about 30 minutes 
I'm 5 bosses deep into The Order of No Quarter and he was easily the most difficult one. I like how the game adds a risk vs reward in the game with the checkpoints. I'll probably try to run through it without using them on my second run through.
