Because as we all know, sony doesn't show games. They have fanboys hope for them
Well its time I drop more info on more Xbox games. So I'll start off with D4.
D4 is actually a game that uses Kinect 2.0 for its ENTIRE GAMEPLAY
There is the option to use a control pad
But nobody knew it was a Kinect Game as well. I guess you learn new things everyday if you have new info... everyday

Kinect Sports Rivals will be a much deeper game than anyone realized. This new version will have a much deeper online focus. There will be online tournaments, and if you can't be there? The Cloud can make sure that you are there even if you can't make it
Max and the magic marker was a game on Wii (Wii-ware) and was pretty good. I didn't realize this was the sequel to that game
With Kinect 2.0 the game can finally "work" is how i'll put it. It worked on the wii, but it would be much easier to draw lines with your finger than with a wii-mote. So this is another game that will take good advantage of Kinect this fall.
The video above is from the 360 version, and that looks GOOD. So the XB1 version will look even better. Can't wait
The Xbox One also doubles as a devkit which means you can create games using the xbox itself
Well now you can use Kinect 2.0 for those games as well. So thats another Kinect news tidbit that wasn't known before this thread
Finally, I want to show you how Kinect can make you a better speaker, a better actor. A better communicator (Tru Story)
Watch this, then never say Kinect has no uses EVER AGAIN

So lets start off by saying we do have Kinect games at launchthe Xbox One exclusive launch title D4, a mysterious episodic cel-shaded adventure game from Japanese developers Access Games, has optional joypad controls it was actually built from the ground up as a Kinect 2 game with FULL Kinect 2 controls! Here’s a quote from IGN’s article about the controls:
The best way to think about D4 – from the little we’ve seen – is that it’s going to play something like a modern point and click adventure. Think Telltale’s The Walking Dead series and you’d be on the right track. Within the demo’s passenger jet setting, for instance, players are able to investigate the world in a number of ways, bringing up information about people and objects, and choosing their responses when in conversation. Action sequences are choreographed, but will play out with a few different variations based on how well players follow the on-screen cues.
In general it seems like a good direction for Access to go in, as it lets Swery put characters and story on centre stage and avoid the stuff that – traditionally – he hasn’t been as strong at. Y’know, like good controls.
On that subject, D4 is designed from the ground up for the next generation of Kinect. Players mimic on-screen gestures during action sequences and can simply speak their chosen option during conversations. How seamlessly this works remains to be seen; we’ve only been privy to a video of the game in action to date and haven’t been able to go hands-on. Swery explicitly made the point, however, that D4 is designed to be played sitting down. He also said that the Xbox One controller would be supported for players that aren’t interested in using Kinect.
Here’s another quote describing an action sequence from the demo:
For the moment though, all we have to go on is the demo reel’s short, densely-packed sequence. We meet a stewardess that looks exactly like David’s dead wife (to the extent that the gum bubble he’s blowing when he bumps into her pops and he just leaves it there, a pink mask across his astonished face), who alludes to being on the same “side” as him. We meet a scarred bald man who demands to know how David got on the plane. The pair have a history, evidently: “this time I’m interested in him, not you,” David says, motioning towards his target, a psychopath named Antonio Penny Zapatero, who he’s convinced is harbouring evidence he needs.
Throughout these conversational vignettes the screen regularly splits into two or three frames, showing various elements of the scene from different angles. It complements D4’s cel-shaded visual style nicely, underlining a graphic novel flavour.
The climax of the sequence we’re shown is a raucous, entertaining and creative fight between David and Zapatero. They struggle up and down the aisle, with the game moving in and out of slow motion. David screams into a megaphone in Zapatero’s face and the cord from an air mask is used as an impromptu garrotte. There’s also a delightful move mid-way through the battle where our hero is pushed back into a stewardess. Players who nail the timing on the input see him turn smoothly and grasp her hands as if she were a dancing partner, pirouetting on the spot to get past. It all ends with Zapatero disappearing amidst a blinding flash of light.
It’s great to see another Xbox One launch game confirmed to be a proper Kinect 2 game and hopefully there’ll be many more revealed between now and November.![]()

Max and the brotherhood is now an Xbox One game as well as a 360 title.
- A never-ending richer story. Your champion is challenged in a world full of competitors on one of three global teams, each with its own philosophy and playing style. Making the most of Xbox One’s always ready technology, “Kinect Sports Rivals” is an always-evolving experience that responds to how you, the champion of the game, play. No two players will ever have the same game experience with “Kinect Sports Rivals,” and the story and competition never has to end.
- A whole new rivalry. “Kinect Sports Rivals”’s next generation social matchmaking pits you against other champions within your social sphere and/or skill level. “Kinect Sports Rivals”’s sophisticated matchmaking prompts you to compete with champions of matched or slightly higher skill level to ensure you continue to advance in the game. With Xbox One Living Games technology, the game learns how you and your friends compete, creating an ever-evolving network of rivals in the cloud so there is always someone “real” to compete with, not an artificial AI character. Now you never have to wait for someone else to get online. This is truly YOU versus the world.

How many times have you been told to practise in front of a mirror before you go and give a presentation. Now you can record and watch yourself in action (aka reflective learning). And if you’re brave like me, you can put your video online for all to see. If you’d like me to put your video on my youtube channel, please feel free to send it to me.
Key features of the Kinect Showreel:
- Practice for that important presentation you are about to give.
- Use it for remote presentation e.g. by using Skype’s desktop sharing feature.
- Record your presentation and get feedback from your peers.
- Improve on your presentation skills by guaging the your use of your hands (too much/too little), smile, voice, eye contact, posture, mannerisms and confidence. Note that your Kinect would have to be positioned properly for you to be able to guage eye contact.

The wait until November
