supernatural should have ended @ 5

prison break would have been a 10/10 show @ 1 season, even a 8/10 show @ season 2. everything else, :camby:

The Walking Dead is on it's way to being a prime candidate for this shyt.
not really because TWD has never really shown it's full potential :heh:

s1 had a great 2-3 episodes, s2 was long winded, s3 was ruined by rushing through the source material and ignoring character build up, s4 is probably going to be the strongest of them all

Weeds should have ended after Agrestic went up in smoke:pacspit:
still boggles my mind that it went another 5 seasons and stopped being about weed other than a sprinkle of hash in s7(didnt watch 8)

^^ and speaking of simpsons..it gets renewed every year but i've never heard or read anyone saying they watch it :manny:

Heroes is probably the worst fall off of any tv series in history. shyt went from the biggest tv phenomenon to be a fukking joke in the span of a year.

Nip/Tuck fell off hard after the first couple of seasons.

Mistift just wasn't the same after Nathan left, the chemistry of the whole show was off.

How do people seriously sit there and stomach How I Met Your Mother? And call it a great show too, without a drop of irony.

Also @A Man Called Hawk Rudy did a damn good job of semi-replacing him. He's the only reason I'm tuning in for the final season. They're actually just cutting it close at 5 seasons and done :heh:

It probably should've ended earlier but I would've never been introduced to Rudy. That evil Rudy episode was one of the best I think.

Since that other video didn't include it. Psycho Rudy:

cant disagree, from the point the writers started hinting that the 2 leads could be homo i was like :camby:

As for heroes the less said the better, when it became the sylar hour i was truly done. I cant believe dexter ran as long as it did 2 seasons was enough for me..

Focusing on Syler didn't even bother me that much, but that shyt where they made ONE family the center of that fukking universe and attempted to connect every fukking character. Then you had characters developing powers that other characters previous had....

I was reading a thread and someone mentioned how Showtime shows are developing a bad reputation of starting off strong but ending very weak. Breaking Bad was awesome due to many factors but one of the main factors I believe was that the story lasted only 5 seasons, had that been on another network they would have milked Heisenburg for about a couple more season and probably wouldn't have ended epic as it did.

So what shows would have benefited being cut shorter and how long would you have made it?

My picks:
The Wire - only 4 seasons... should have ended after season 4
Dexter - 5 seasons, after Trinity season 5 should have been the fall out and Dexter's end
Weeds - 3 seasons, story was told after the third season it should have ended then
Saturday Night Live - should have ended once the new millennium came along in 2000, really hasn't been good ever since
MadTV - should have ended when Aries Spears and the bulk of the originals left

I disagree SNL is the funniest it's been in years despite its cast members leaving as soon as they drop a movie or get a tv show.
I also disagree about the Wire, it ended just right, imo, though Season 4 was incredible.

I would say the Big Bang Theory
Family Guy should stayed a cult classic
The Office Should have ended with Jim and Pam getting married.

It bothered me cuz the actor was clearly a homo with a lisp to boot and the character was suppose to be shown in small doses not a full blown regular. They ran with the sylar shyt to the extent that peter ended up looking weak, which was ass backwards. The show was called heroes not villians after all

The petrelli family orgin shyt was cool, it built mystery and intrigue it kind of sputtered when robert forster character was revealed as papa petrelli tho. That catalyst s/l was :snoop:

Lost problem wasn't its length, Lost problem was the writers had no goddamn idea what they were doing so they kept throwing mystery after mystery after mystery at the audience and when it came time for the payoffs the show runners pulled a "well it's about the characters JOURNEY not the destination" bullshyt rhetoric to justify that weak ass ending. Even Season 6 had some truly great episodes, the episode about Richard Alpert's origins and the episode where Locke-as-smoke-monster went HAM on The Others at the temple were classic Lost, they just had no clue on how to stick the landing.

Nip/Tuck should've ended at 4 seasons. They went completely overboard with all the fakkit and weird shyt once they moved to Hollywood.

House should have ended 2 seasons earlier than it did. You could literally SEE the struggle on every episode after that to keep the shyt going. House really could've been one of the GOATS, but it fell from top ten to not even mentioned at all

Scrubs had an EXCELLENT 8 season run, a PERFECT series finale, and then they retooled the show into some bullshyt about medical students. No JD, No Elliot, No Janitor, No Carla, NO FUN. Just awful....
