when you tear your ACL and you're out for most of the year, there isn't much he can do about that. If he was gonna gear up for the season, he would have been back well before the playoffs. Anything that he can do now is just gonna throw the team off a bit. That's why even now, this pining for Rose to come back now against Miami could only be counterproductive. He's not gonna come back and all of a sudden pick up where he left off. It just doesn't happen that way. Even AD got most of his rushing yards during the 2nd half of his season.

The season didn't wind up the way Chicago hoped. That's disappointing, but can't do anything about it. Just make sure everyone (not just Rose, because Deng's in a bad way) is 100% for next year.

Exactly, and as you said before: If you aren't going to play, cool. Shut it down.

The whole Chicago front office should be fired. Should have told him "See you next year." - played Butler and Teague - and tanked. Could have figured out that Deng could be flipped, maybe could have gotten boozer thrown in, gather picks and some useful talent, next year Mirotic comes in at the 2.

You have zero reasons to say he doesn't want to play. When he's sure he can give it 100%, which only HE truly knows, then he'll get back in there. I didn't start trolling him until his brother made those comments about his teammates. And then Rose doubled down on it by saying he wasn't mentally there. And then on top of that he's out in the club celebrating after a loss (not saying don't party, just don't get caught).
