Shyheim should've had a classic album produced by RZA in like 1999

Plus Shyheim was on the run for like a good 2 years around that time. He once said RZA used to set up houses for him to lay low in, then put him on compilations and different tracks to put some money in his pocket. He also lived with Ghost for a while then, too.
That nikka was on the run and shooting The Parent ‘Hood episodes at the same time. Robert Townsend was the goat for hooking him up with that.

12oclock, shyheim, doc doom, prodigal sunn, rugged monk

Always thought this was a catchy song and woulda made a better single than killer beez with rza deck n ugod and doe rae wu with odb were.

The Parent Hood was dead in '98-99, so he was no longer on it. They did have like a 2 year hiatus after Robert Townsend's character was shot though to finish it up. Most of the original cast wasn't in those8 or 9 episodes.

@BuddahMAC why not just double back with the record label he was signed to and ask them to have RZA executively produce it

Shy said it himself he was on the run doing Parent Hood, I cannot remember which interview he said it in though

If I'm understanding the question right, because RNS was the main producer he was working with and exec producer on his first 2 albums and the guy who got Shy signed. Like, I understand the fan question of wanting Shy over a full vintage RZA produced album but why would Shy at the time ask for that when he's having his own success with his people?

I never listened to shyheim, but were his albums good sonically? RZA was in his prime and that was his boy, not to mention wu-tang was huge thing.

Yeah, they're dope. Because he's so young, you literally hear his voice change from a kid's to a man from his 1st to 3rd albums, so each one takes some readjusting to him sounding very different. RNS' production is really good, although sounds a little more of it's era than RZA/Wu's stuff.

He should have done more acting (assuming he had the opportunities).

He said when he was young he was only trying to do certain roles and not appear like a sell out. He expressed some regret about that. If memory serves he didn’t even want to be in the Waterfalls video and basically had to be forced into it.

There must've been some politics going on but I never understood why Shyheim always seemed to be on the fringe with the Wu. Of course he was on some tracks here and there but I always felt like he was treated with more distance than say early Killarmy or Sunz of Man. Maybe I'm wrong though, or maybe that's just me wishing he would've had more attention from Rza and the rest of the Wu. Like you said, he should've at least had an album with all tracks from Rza, 4th, True Master.
Shy was already doing his own thing. Killarmy had Rza’s brother and Sunz Of Man had Killah Priest who was deep with Wu. Plus both groups signed to Wu Tang Records.
