Hahaha did they say Siakam can’t create his own offence? The only offence of his that he doesn’t create is corner threes. Most everything else he does is one on one in the post or in transition.
Siakam gonna be a star next year and a superstar two years from now. Someone find that gif of the step back midrange he hit on Vince the other day.
Siakam is also a top defender in the league. In fact there is no better player at his position in the entire league with regard to holding his opponent below their avg FG%.
Anyway as per the question, I got Siakam right now and in the future. And that’s not because I don’t think Tatum will be a perennial all star but Siakam has shown flashes of being awesome at every aspect of the game. Siakam gonna come back with a mid range jumper and floater next year. The year after he will be hitting threes from all over the court and off the dribble.

He only makes 5 2 pointers a game, and 50% of them are assisted, so I'm going to go out on a limb and say even if he does that 3 times a game, he's probably not making them 3 times a game. Im on mobile right now, he takes a few free throws a game, so if hes getting fouled in transition 100% of the time then I could see your argument, but thats probably not gonna be the case.

Casuals hahaha. Clearly this nikka ain’t watching games. Siakam has been the best player on the Raptors for about a month now. Not saying he’s better than Kawhi but Kawhi been in a bit of a slump and load management. Siakam been carrying the squad.
Now I really like Tatum. I stan the fukk out of him but he’s being too deferential to Kyrie imo. Tremendous skills but he’s regressed due to not being more assertive. I still think he has star talent though. I just think Siakam can do more things well. Tatum got Siakam with the midrange game, outside shooting and off the dribble but Siakam basically wins everywhere else, especially defensively. Siakam causes chaos on defence when he’s locked in.

He is below average at creating his own offense. That's why he has an unusually high amount of assisted buckets even from the 2. Even on his own team Lowry and Kawhi are better at creating their own offense. Compare him to BI or Tatum, both of whom are better at creating their own offense, and are probably average compared to the entire league.
I'm not saying he's bad it creating his own offense, hes world class, but for the NBA he's definitely below average.

Watching his growth over the past season has been a treat. I thought that OG was gonna be the one to make the leap. This kid's motor is amazing, transition game creates havoc, hits that corner 3 and plays good defense/disruptive af.
Tatum has some great tools, but I'm not taking him over Siakam right now.

Gonna have to respectfully disagree breh. I don’t think it’s fair to use season stats to evaluate Siakam’s season because he’s been averaging 20+ for about six weeks with much of that coming off his own creation and has been shooting close to 40% from three in that same time frame. He will finish the year close to 18ppg imo.
