Siakam is better all around

Tatum is better at hitting contested shots....he reminds ppl of Kobe/Pierce in that regards which is why he gets overrated

Tatum had a really good playoffs and has looked just good since

4 Basketball Years is a BIG difference, Tell you this much, If you offer Siakam in trade for Tatum Danny will laugh in your face and Masai Ujiri will personally drop Siakam at the airport.

THIS season their numbers are CLOSE, you acting like Siakam is averaging 25 Points per game.

Tatum 31.1 min per Game 16.3 PPG, 6.3 RB, 2 Ast, Siakam 31.6 Min Per Game 16.3 PPG, 7 RB, 3ast

The fact that their numbers are this close yet Tatum is considered underachieving and Siakam the MIP should tell you everything you need to know about how they’re valued in the league. fukk a airport, Masai would drive Siakam from Toronto to Boston if Tatum was on the table :heh:

When you include age its really a no brainer. Tatum is going to be entering his basketball prime when Siakam is exiting the league.

Masai would do it for everybody minus Siakam...and the reason hes the MIP with equal numbers is cuz he was on the bench last year...Value in the NBA is most often based on 90% media hype and agenda....

The question is what will he BE in his prime, the reason i made this thread is because i contend he will not be a superstar or a 1A....

Jonas Valanciunas is now entering his prime at age 26 and hes the same thing hes always been for 5-6 years, nikkas need to get off this idea that being young means ur developing towards stardom....

Tatum = Rashard Lewis....a nice complimentary piece whos long and can hit 3s but not a star, maybe a 2-3 times all star...

It doesn’t guarantee anything, just like just because Tatum isn’t a star now doesn’t mean his potential is overhyped. Or just because Siakam took a big jump in a year means he’s gonna continue rising. There’s no shortage of players who peaked during their MIP season.

What the fukk does Jonas Valanciunas have to do with Jayson Tatum... Who the fukk ever proclaimed Him as a potential star player what superstar skill set did he possess and display in his first few seasons to make that claim :mjlol:

This is about as dumb as claiming that since Bobby Portis (or insert any irrelevant draftee) didn't go from young prospect to a star that then proves or has some predictive relevance to Tatum's trajectory which would be obvious Bimbo talk

How about we implore the same logical principles for my nig "passed over" P....so... In 2009 at age 25 Devin Harris was named a first time all star posting career highs in all statistical categories and looked to be the "future" for nets basketball... Following this season his production suffered a steep decline resulting in him getting booted out of town 3 years later... So clearly since I can find a mid 20s player who peaked then rapidly declined this must prove that 24 year old Passed Over P will also do the same and we should have no faith in his development going forward of course :skip:

But Tatum has the potential to be a superstar or a 1A player because that is what his skillset is. Everyone is hyped on him because the celtics made the ECF and their leading scorer was a 19 year old. He's good off the dribble, has a smooth stroke, cool under pressure, and is improving.

Siakam's doesn't have the potential to be a superstar or a 1A player, simply based on his skillset. He's a 25 year old player averaging 16 pts a game and still can barely create his own shot. Dude has damn near 100% of his 3 point shots assisted and damn near half of those are wide open corner shots, and hes still only averaging 36% from 3.

Pretty much given their equal stats, one's players playstyle and age lend itself to a higher projected career trajectory than the other's.
