They JUST ain't good enough to be promoted to official girlfriend status. Maybe their past, childhood, family, bad influence, etc caused this, it's not your business and you should not care. Accept the reality as it is and enjoy them for what they can bring to your life, even if it is strictly limited to sex.

And it's not the man's business to make sure the sidepieces learn how to get out of sidechick status(the female friendzone version, lets be real)

Side chicks is like side dishes. You have meat and veggies as your main meal everyday, but you need a side dish in order to spice it up. Variety provides excitement. Meat and veggies are good, wholesome, they keep you full, healthy and grounded, but pasta, rice, plantains, a serving of fries here and there is welcomed just to broke up the routine pattern. Side dishes are culinary escapades, like real-life escapades, variety is the reward.
