I live in farmland USA.

The farm owners are Republicans and will not be paying American citizens livable wages to work these jobs.

Overtime for farm workers barely started in 2019.

Meaning up until then farm workers worked over 8 hours a day, over 40 hours a week and did not receive overtime.

They need underpaid immigrants because Americans do not want to work these jobs.

In order to pay these workers an actual livable wage, and farm owners to make a profit produce would skyrocket.

To believe that the Trump administration will develop a plan to pay farm working American citizens a livable wage is wildly naive.

1. Medicaid is full of people who CANT work as well as children.
2. What can be automated has been automated. Time sensitive crops cant be automated because you risk bruising them in a way you don’t when you have people pick the crops. Ot would lead to more waste.

Those WFH jobs are going away, and as AI develops more people will be displaced and jobless.
