You conveniently left out the 2 guards per 20 prisoners. If you need 80 workers, you have to pay 8 likely overpaid guards that aren't doing shyt all day.
So they're not paying 8 prison guards a prison guard's salary and 80 workers $20 (+ however many pennies per hour they pay prisoners) a piece to feed them 3 squares a day, but they're paying 80 people 40 /hr. Y'all can believe this obviously bullshytting ass cac if you want.:russ:

Earning a livable wage isn’t possible without a job or with other low paid jobs either. Why shouldn’t the option still be open to American citizens though?
Those other low-wage jobs typically aren't as physically punishing or dangerous. You're skipping over the very reason so few domestic workers choose that kind of farm labor in the first place. It's not just the pay, it's the extreme physical demands, the long hours in brutal conditions, the lack of benefits, and the seasonal instability. If people can earn similarly low wages doing less backbreaking work indoors, with more predictable schedules and fewer health risks, then they're going to choose that instead. People need to understand that the issue isn't just about wages, it's about the quality of the job and the conditions that come with it.

Maybe not, but the food and guards run that average up, then you have more breaks, security protocols, etc. We really don't know.

Bro let's just do the math and say that they pay the prison guards 40 / hr, they pay the 80 workers 20 a piece for their 3 square meals and we're just gonna ignore the 5 cents an hour they're paying them because it won't make a difference.

That's about 3500 a day for an 8 hour work day for each person.

For 80 people to make 40 /hr on an 8 hour workday, I'm goin to round down and say that's 25,000 a day.

Y'all can believe these folks if you want fam. They obviously bullshytting about what they were paying these people under the table. Prison labor too expensive but they're paying illegals 40 /hr. Foh:mjlol:

You don't know how much the prisoners or guards make, and the reduced productivity since the illegals don't require as many "human rights".

I understand not trusting Democrats.

I don't trust them.

I understand supporting deportation.

It's gotten way out of hand.

What I don't understand is believing Republicans at their word because the idea of "bringing jobs back" sounds good.

Do you truly believe that bettering the lives of your average American citizen is the goal of this current administration?

Isnt this what the Republican voters wanted?

Bring Agriculture back to America :blessed:
Bring manufacturing back to America :blessed:
Bring it all back :blessed:

I know this post was meant as a joke, but the American economy leaned way too much into the Service Economy and straight abandoned Manufacturing and Agriculture. A country that does not created it's own goods, it becomes a Debtor society. On top of that the Service Economy is way more susceptible to AI and overseas outsourcing

Prisoners only make pennies per hour on hard labor and they were complaining about paying for 3 square meals. You can give the guards a six figure 150K per year salary and it's still dramatically cheaper than even paying those 80 workers a 20 /hr salary. There's nobody on this earth crying about having to pay someone pennies on the hour and for 3 square meals breaking workers off with 40 /hr for the same job. Ain't no way. Show me the receipts. It's too expensive to pay for 3 square meals a day but you got 40 / hr? Nope. I don't believe a word you're saying right now. Illegals don't get human rights but they're getting 40 / hr? Yeah right :russ:

Some people in here want to preserve jobs for their illegal family members.

@Pull Up the Roots you are 50+ taking up for illegals.

You lived seeing roles like farming and construction be largely Black, and over a few years you saw all those Black men and women replaced by illegals; why do you fight tooth-and-nail for them while Black folk flounder about?

False equivalence is a very challenging proposition for some people to grasp.
