I liked it. I liked how they leaned more in the Taken action flicks, combined with the Zucker's brand of comedy.

I agree in that it's not the rolling belly up laughter, but i think the jokes and running gags were all done well, witty and perfectly timed. But I don't even laugh at comedies like that anymore. The last comedy that I can remember that truly had me laughing like that was a Coming to America, and that was in '88. I do think they showed way too many of the punches in the trailers.

It's a solid 7-7.5 but I'll purchase the physical when it drops

Spoiler: The Best Joke for Me

The fukking Snowman. Ol' Frosty came to life and thought he had a chance with Pam, and then he was pressed against the glass watching them fukking in the Hot Tub... and the music just dropped... and the fukkery was pure what came after.

Its good. I don't know what some of the posters in here wanted. People obviously have very warm feelings about the old films and Leslie Nielsen, me too but this was great. I laughed and the rest of the audience did too.

They didn't try to reinvent the wheel, it has all the tropes of the original and the same sense of humor. Theres a few moments of surreal humor and social commentary (they're still funny bits) but everything else is in the NG tradition. I can't imagine latter day David Zucker's MAGA ass would have done a better (or much different) job.

I assume they will greenlight a sequel or two.
