May get negged but I'll be honest, can't really support this regardless of my thoughts on it. Not comparable to Germany since we have very liberal free speech laws. Telling someone what they can or can't display is not a good road to go down. Imagine this power in the hands of Trump.

This is ignoring that this won't go anywhere due to the above free speech protections.

For what it is worth, Id feel the same if someone wanted to display the isis flag.

fukk the confederate flag...

but this petition violates 1st amendment and i cant rock with it
:yeshrug:

i want to be able to rock my "kill all the crackers" flag if need be
this petition would set a precedent that may stop me from being able to
:francis:
Exactly. If folks really think these cacs in govt would stop at the confederate flag, they're mistaken. Best believe they'll look to outlaw many pro black expressions as well :mjpls:

Exactly.

These are powerful principles.

Manipulating them to suit an arbitrary perspective is dangerous.

Didn't come in to shyt on anything by the way just shared my perspective. More power to you dudes for trying though. I have no love for the flag or the people who wave it but with Trump wanting to designate anyone who doesn't suck the dikk of police right now an enemy of the state, he would be the exact person to abuse any precedent. I think he said he wanted to imprison people who burned the American flag for example so he is already on that steez.

I don't support that either, but there is already a law with penalties for "desecrating" the American flag, which is rarely enforced.....because everybody would be penalized :laff:
  • PENALTY for things like putting the flag on certain commercial products like cups
  • PENALTY for wearing the flag on clothing or cloth like a beach towel that touches the ground
  • Etc
Check the law here
4 U.S. Code § 8 - Respect for flag.

Everyone knows not to say "fukk" to a cop. But isn't it protected by free speech? When people talk that shyt knowing you are not de facto protected by that shyt makes me look at them sideways. Ask Phiando about his rights.

I agree that the enforcement isn't fair and I agree they will hem me up on bullshyt. But they cant arrest you for saying fukk you to a cop. This is why they have to make up bullshyt reasons to arrest you because there is no law on the books saying you can be jailed for saying fukk you to a cop.

They will try to put some bullshyt like disrupting the peace on you instead which won't stand up in the court of law but their goal is to cause you some headache out of their petty ego.

There was a story where some cops were harassing a woman because she had a ACAB bumper sticker. They couldn't arrest her because if she wants to put all cops are b*stards on her car she is free to. But they harassed her and stopped her constantly to make her life hell. But if they tried to bring her to court on that bullshyt she will win and may have grounds for a civil suit.
