the signal protocol will likely never be implemented by any carrier because they don't benefit from it. RCS has most of the features of modern messaging platforms but it's still cleartext communications that carriers can see. If users want any sort of secure communications they'll have to adopt those apps themselves because it doesn't suit any carriers interest to facilitate it, financially or politically.

And that’s why I think trying to get people on Signal is not feasible. Carriers run shyt here. I think people want to do things without having to think about it. I don’t know man. We’ll see what happens.
theres lots of sms apps in the app stores. sms apps with a user base in the USA numbering in the millions. some of them are even paid or offer in-app purchases, its very feasible to convert users to another sms app..
those are desktops apps.
And as soon as somebody say some dumb shyt about a green bubble I block their goofy asses. How the fukk you gonna clown people with common sense while y'all dumb asses keep spending $1k on a phone when you only know how to get on social media and text? When one of these lames can tell me how they use their overpriced phone to conduct business and/or make money, then we can talk the color of bubbles... Even a $20 Tracphone phone with green bubbles allows for more productivity than an iPhone ever will

Get out your feelings slime. The whole green/blue bubble shyt is jokes. Even when I had Android I never had someone say they wouldn't talk to me because I had an Android phone. That some made up mumbo jumbo bullshyt. Now what has happened was I've been left out of group chats because of it, because group chat via MMS (green bubbles) is a horrible experience.
Also most people don't spend 1k for the iPhone. That another narrative that needs to die. The iPhone 11 is $699 and is the best selling version. That $699 phone will get updated for 5 years and will be just as fast as the day you got it based off history. My 5S (which came with iOS 7) before Apple ended 6 years worth of updates is just as fast as the day I got it and it's on iOS 12. You paying for quality with Apple and if you can't see that then by all means enjoy your current device.
