Just read up on this. I read how they caught him too. How did the us hack them Swiss servers with no warrant? Said he used tor, they still able to get him? Didn't he use a vpn?

Hmm. I thought the premise was it sends partial packets to multiple servers randomly. I can see where tracking can be done at the end points where the last packets to complete the transmission can maybe be traced but that's where vpns come in.

You're really only safe if you have a friend buy you a laptop with cash, steal an open wifi connection, get behind a VPN or proxy or two AND then use TOR. Nothing can be traced back to you. Oh yeah, also mask your MAC address and use a new one each time you connect.
Yeah, I've thought about this a lot, but not for criminal activity, just outta curiosity. I also like to study cyber security

You have to find VPNS that don't keep logs. Most if them do and will release those logs when an army shows up and threatens to arrest and shut down the whole crew. The only ones that font are the ones small companies make and rent servers based on user payments
