this isnt a bad cover but the original has a bluesy sadness that they are completely missing. The horns and faster drums here provide a bouncy almost Latin like feel. Its good. Its solid instrumentation.

But i dont like it.

Its happy. Loves Train is not supposed to be a happy song.

IF anything thats my biggest criticism of Silk Sonic as a whole. They are making bumblegum Soul Music that lacks the pain and heartbreak of soul music of the past.

Bruno is pop, like super duper pop. He's not making anything with real pain and heartbreak.
I like both and I agree, the OG is better.

Insignificant posting from an insignificant poster
fwiw, remakes like this help bring awareness for the benighted and generation z’ers alike.

Shiiit… i know a lot of millenials who dont know of the og.

Covers help bridge that gap or give the old school
New life.

I bet if you asked bruno and paak, they’d say the og is the pinnacle/would give dues where its warranted.

The coli millitantism knows no bounds i .swear.

Sometimes it feels extremely petty.
