I used to think every rapper was as gully IRL as they was in there music.

When Jadakiss said fukk Scarface I shoot women and kids I thought he was talking about the rapper Scarface.

I was worried 50 Cent was gonna end Fabulous career just because he did a song with Ashanti on his second album which dropped at the height of the 50 - Murder Inc beef :sadcam:

I thought rap crews like Roc A Fella for example was like a family and ride for each other no matter what, but turns out they couldn't stand each other IRL... Jay vs Cam/Dipset for example. Game vs 50/Banks over in G Unit, etc.

I thought these niccas were really millionaires, didn't know anything about labels and them giving out advances. Thought all the cars they had were bought cash, not rented for the videos...I thought these niccas really lived in the ridiculous mansions that they shot their videos at :russ:. I was a young dude in the early 2000's when labels were signing niccas and dropping singles left and right, didn't know sh1t about an "image" that the label marketed, I thought all these niccas were 100% authentic rappers. man was I wrong

until i was about 13 i thought these dudes really sold all these drugs and busted all the guns and made all this money...

then around that time i actually started selling drugs and was like "wait a minute...it took me this long to sell this much and make this much money...it aint no way I would have time to make a rap album" :ohhh::patrice:

I thought lyrical miracle cats like Joe Budden, Royce, Crooked I, Pusha T were far superior rappers and more intelligent and skilled than the average money hoes clothes rapper.

Now I jus :snoop:

I thought Nas was some super smart guy who went to college :heh:

Yeah, it's weird how pure you think things are to be.

I thought Ja and J Lo were dating cause they always made love songs
Definitely thought G Unit was on some ride or die shyt
I didn't really think they were pimps but I didn't think most were suckers for love.

I thought that they were getting the money or really driving the cars they rapped about and Not leasing or renting everything and getting heavy loans and being raped and prostituted by Major Label Corporations.

In the late 90s, I thought anyone that wanted to be a rapper was a idiot because Pac and Biggie got murdered... I didn't know the back story to there murders back then and I thought "bad guys" was just murdering rappers for no reason :deadmanny:

Yea, in Elementary kids always thought Ja Rule was smashing Ashanti because they always did love songs together :russ:

I Thought the same about G Unit, Jimmy Iovine's marketing of G Unit was :banderas:

Really thought 50 would fukk you up if you stepped on his toes :wow:

Like if you got in a elevator with that nikka and stepped on this toes he would snuff you.

This

Back in the early 2000s rappers was gettin' mayor pushed by the record labels shootin' million dollar videos... Rented mansions, rented imported cars, the video models...

Then u find out most of them still livin' in they mommas house n a couple years later... They blew through all that advance n show money faster than their 15 minutes of fame lasted... N they still aint moved out they momma house n now they workin at mcdonalds again...

Seein' this shyt happen again n again crushed my dreams of becomin' a rapper n made me focus in school n im thankful forever for that.

lol yeah, a collab meant that they were together to me back then lol.

Yeah it was weird, cause then you think of nikkas who get their rap cliques name tattoo'd on them and flash forward to current time and you just hit the :snoop:

Also rappers being so lame talking about fukking hoes and at the same time they're married. An example being TI on FDB remix talking about a 3some at the telly when we see that nikka every Sunday night playing the family man :snoop:
