No repeat champs in 8 years displays the parity of the league.
Or the defending champs dealing with injuries at the worse time

2020 Raptors - Lost Kahwi
2021 Lakers - Solomon Hill injired Bron AD Hurt
2022 Bucks - Middleton Hurt
2023 Warriors - Caught injury breaks in 2022
2024 Denver - AG hurt
2025 Celtics - Tatum Achilies
2026 Thunder - J Wil hamstring

It took 7 games for them to beat Indy last year without Haliburton :yeshrug:

OKC is beatable
I also believe OKC is very beatable, but the major playoff teams with experience and continuity are in the East, so they'll walk to the finals. Lakers can't out talent them and are disjointed, Spurs I think are a year or 2 too early (they have their number in the regular season but I feel like they'll fall apart)

Its funny to post this when OKC and SA look poised to run shyt. We are actually coming out of the parity era it appears. Kinda like the early 80s.

Warriors Celtics and Nuggets straight up got beat the year they tried to defend their title. Celtics were gonna lose that game before Tatum went down.

While I agree that injuries have had a major impact on the playoffs in recent years, this is also true. Celtics would’ve been down 3-1 in any event. And as far as I know the Warriors had more or less the same players as the year before in the playoffs.

Silver has indeed took steps for more parity.

It's nearly impossible to have a "big 3" at this point.

Now if only the tanking and load management could be figured out
