I take back my previous statement. It was ill informed and I've done some research. They were married for 20 years. She birthed 3 children for him. While he was earning money, she was taking care of his home and children. That is a substantial job. People need to realize that there is significant value in a stay at home wife and mother. She gave up her dream of being an actress to play the traditional role of a woman. He played the traditional role of a man (being the primary breadwinner). It's a shame that their marriage didn't work out, but by no means should she walk away with nothing.

WGAF? The dude is 76 years old, he aint got long left and will probably want for nothing for the rest of his life. The way some of y'all talk about woman, it's like you have no mothers or sisters, shyt is kinda disgusting after a while.

I told my mom this story....even she was :beli:

Some people dont feel right about trying to take somebody's hard earned money, even if yall were married. I could be married to Oprah. I wouldnt feel right tryna steal a billion or so dollars from her. Hit me off with 100 mil and we good girl :whew:

She sacrificed her own career (being an actress) to be a mother and stay at home wife. She needs to be compensated in some kind of way. Men have the unique privilege of not having to choose between family and career. Can't say the same for women. When we make that kind of sacrifice we expect to be compensated if the marriage dissolves. I didn't set myself up for that kind of failure though. A condition of my marriage was that my husband let me pursue my PhD, then I'll be ok with staying at home caring for children.

:mindblown: Some of you like to skip over the true points in every thread.

Is he stupid for not signing a prenup or cheating on his wife sure but none of that really even matters the real issue is no one should be getting 50 million of money they didn't earn the divorce system is faulty that's the real issue here.

For all the guys saying oh it's your own fault he should of known or don't marry broke chicks, well guess what that doesn't make it ok or right for someone to take you to the cleaners.

Again I repeat this thread shouldn't be about his decisions but how the courts are fukked up thats the problem.

Breh, if you have nothing to settle, you having nothing to worry about. It's why I keep asking you dudes, what assets do you have that you're afraid will be split up? How much in retirement, real estate, stocks/bonds/funds, etc?

Y'all nikkas in here worried about this shyt more than likely have NOTHING TO LOSE because you have NOTHING TO SETTLE.

This the coli nikka, we use smiley's ouchea :pacspit:

The coli is the land of delusional nikkas. Dudes on here worried about losing half when they really have nothing of worth. I'm still waiting for these cats to start listing their assets that they're concerned about splitting up :heh:

Again, assuming that everyone on the internet are broke losers. Are you projecting? Has it occurred to you that there are egregious problems with family court? Have you ever studied family law? Do you know how easy it is for women to manipulate a family court? Do you even see from this story alone how easily stilted it is in women's favor?

ITT: Chicks who are getting mad that men won't marry them because they are seeing that there is nothing in it for them.

  • It's not unique if it's applied to all men and women, because it kinda is.
  • Men ARE shamed for not taking a substantial role as fathers.
  • Women have the option to become mothers. Pregnant? No. But there are things like abortion and contraception that she can choose. A man DOESN'T have that.
  • She CHOSE to stay at home to take care of the kids. He didn't force her to stop becoming an actress when she married him. She saw a good meal ticket and said fukk it, I'm famous enough now and rich enough already.

The excuses you women make for some of these greedy chicks, I swear to god. No wonder you get so upset when men start bashing marriage.

$5 million a year is a good enough compensation :heh:

Aint like she was gonna become Julia Roberts :heh:

Rich spouses should break off their exes with something. Its only right. Just not half. If you got $500 mil, break off $70 mil and keep it moving. If you got $200 mil, break off 40 mil and keep it moving :yeshrug:
