If you watched how long First Take had taken to go in on Greg Hardy, who was found innocent, and how hard they went in on him; you would have to say HELL TO THE FUKKIN NAW! Did Terrell Owens the same way. Any world class athlete that isn't kissing their assets and being fake with them in that tortuous period he they have to deal with the clowns, they will destroy them.

Rick Reilly's main, and only beef, with Tiger was that he didn't give him one of those long, feminine special interest pieces that slows Countdown to an crawl. So when Tiger simply got caught cheating on his wife, they all took turns ethering him like he was Jared Fogle. Hell no I don't respect or trust the sports media.

With how nosy they are, and supremely high moral standards they act like they have, why the fukk aren't they in politics? Political reporting. Guarding our tax dollars by making sure big companies can't cheat. Nah, they think they're too cool for that, because they're the background noise and history encyclopedia to games we already know about. Ugh.

I trust facts. I trust things that can be corroborated. I trust cited sources. The sports media utilizes those things less and less nowadays. When you factor in increasingly declining ethics (releasing player's medical records), bias and grudge holding, personal opinions taking the forefront, and playing favorites, I'd be a complete fool to trust the mainstream media
If you dont trust media, then where do you get your news from?

When I say trust, I mean you listen to them and formulate your views. I did not say you should see their words as gospel.

I mean in a sense of reporter "sources say _______ is interested in going to LA."
LA being used a lot because it's the 2nd biggest city in america which = a lot of clicks. Which equals ad $ yet nothing ever goes to LA
Or player A and Player B have problems, yet there's never any evidence of them having problems on or off the field. Then the rumors just fade. And nothing ever comes out of it.
I mean a lot of stuff comes out with sources but we never see the end game. How much can we really trust this shyt

Getting your news from the media and trusting them are two wholly separate things. I formulate my views based on the facts and cited sources in what they report. So and so was injured during a game. Team says so and so suffered whatever injury and may be out however long. After MRI, injury is confirmed as well as how long they're out. shyt like that is based on facts and cited sources. When I hear stories about alleged friction in a locker room that's based on uncited sources, I take it with a grain of salt. If I trust a medium whose job is to report the facts to me then that means I would take their word as gospel. Since this medium increasingly reports conjecture and uses unverifiable sources, I don't trust them.
