People be making these GOAT debates more complicated than necessary. I think we could universally agree on the following criteria on what makes a top 3 all time player:
1) Were they elite offensively?
2) Were they elite defensively for a long period...with a desire to play defense even in old age...
3) Do they have historical accolades whether reg. season, playoffs or all time numbers?
4) Did they lead their teams to multiple chips with at least 4 titles on their resume....
Under these simple guidelines only these 3 men qualify:
1) Michael Jordan - No explanation needed...
2) KAJ - No explanation really, but some people sleep on the fact that Kareem was one of the goat defensive centers and rim protectors in history in addition to his offensive records.
3) Kobe - 81, 12 All Defensive Teams (record for a G), top 5 scoring all time, 5 titles
