idk.

I'm very religious and even I say God is the greatest excuse to murk a bunch of people .

But People are simple minded when they say things like REligion caused this.... @tmonster is avoiding Motivation because he knows that religion is hardly ever the true motivator.

Married men cheating on their wives because
"this is just what a man has to do - we can't be faithful; it's our job to spread our seed"
does not fit the criteria of my posit
infidelity is no patently unjust act, it is practically understood as part of man's nature
besides
1. I am talking about calamitous behavior of existential proportion, truly evil stuff
getting your tip wet is not on that scale (yet I have seen men with lesser consciences invoke God as an excuse even for that)
2. it usually involves the need to get sanction for a evil acts to the level of recruiting accomplices

infidelity is a solitary fleeting decision
it fails to apply here

Fear is the motivating factor.
Whether it be through a god or a dictator, people create a sense of fear to control other people

look at my original post
Whenever one or a group of human beings want to or need sanction to behave in a manner that is patently unjust, all while abdicating responsibility for said behavior and desiring excuse from having to justifiably submit to the same treatment, they always have to invoke an authority outside of humanity itself.

agree or disagree?

you have not satisfied any of the three conditions with this example
1. want to or need sanction to behave in a manner that is patently unjust
2. abdicating responsibility for said behavior
3. desiring excuse from having to justifiably submit to the same treatment

fear is not what allowed #1, #2 or provided #3 for the example of slavery
in fact your example strongly supports my hypothesis.

Could hitler be categorized in that sentiment? He viewed Jews as filthy vermin that needed to be eradicated, to make the world a better place... Well actually make the world an Aryan race. While you could argue he viewed Aryans as God like and he did practice in the occult, these were just byproducts of his hatred of Jews. The fact that he wasn't Jewish abdicated responsibility and recused him and Germans from the same treatment.
What authority outside of humanity was evoked in this case?
