What's funny about that is I was watching that show Weeds last year and the main character falls in love with a mexican politician/drug lord who resembles Del Rio. Since Vince rarely comes up with a working gimmick without stealing it or inspiration from media, I wonder...

i am quite sure the idea for del rio was sparked by weeds.

that is also why i think the mexican cartel would definately work.
