Most of you Christian Israelites run to Exodus 6:3 in an attempt to prove that the tetragram was neither known (and by implication) spoken by Abraham, Isaac or Jacob, but a simple search through the scriptures disproves that theory. The reason being that not only was the tetragram "known" to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, but it was also spoken (pronounced) by them.
In addition to that I can show you evidence in scripture that men were pronouncing יהוה long before the births of Abraham, Isaac, or Jacob. Going even to the lengths of recording the names of these Holy men and women.
Genesis 13:4 said:Unto the place of the altar, which he had make there at the first: and there Abram called on the name of יהוה.
Here we find Abram pronouncing the tetragram, before his name change to Abraham, and we also see that he pronounced it after as well!Genesis 21:33 said:And Abraham planted a grove in Beersheba, and called there on the name of יהוה, the everlasting God.
Here we find Isaac pronouncing the tetragramGenesis 26:25 said:And he builded an altar there, and called upon the name of יהוה, and pitched his tent there: and there Isaac's servants digged a well.
And here we find Jacob pronouncing the tetragram.Genesis 28:16 said:And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely יהוה is in this place; and I knew it not.
In addition to that I can show you evidence in scripture that men were pronouncing יהוה long before the births of Abraham, Isaac, or Jacob. Going even to the lengths of recording the names of these Holy men and women.
