Since when are banks asking existing customers if they're dual citizens?

when I log into my bank of america account they're asking me to update some missing info and the only thing missing is if I'm a dual citizen (which I am). sheeeeeit these fukkers are trying to be all up in my business. I gotta give my lawyer and accountant a call to see what they have to say about this bullshyt.

Yeah. I feel like they've revamped an added new laws/regulations at least a dozen times over the last 9 years or so.

I actually opened a bank account a few weeks ago and wasn't even asked the typical stuff though.


I think a lot of the big banks have had compliance issues so they may be under even greater scrutiny and thus their clients.


I think they can just close your account if you don't give them information.
