Broken gimmick needs to be a slow build (assuming they are able to do it and want to do it). Let them eat as Hardys right now. No need to rush. Around Summerslam or post Summerslam you can start building them in a major angle to plant seeds for Broken. They don't need to go full Broken until WM2018 season honestly.

I feel like Vince didn't care for them to do the broken shyt or be a main part of the show, it's obvious he thought he could make money off them regardless from their name and returning to WWE alone. Jeff was about to get that singles campaign but now he hurt so....

They gonna break them up in the next 4-6 months because vince still doesn't see money in matt even though he is the brainchild behind the hardyz. Jeff will stay on raw possibly have a few small main event programs (not the title), matt will go to smackdown tag with a no name like mojo rawley.
Right around wrestlemania, jeff will fukk up again with the drugs and will be released. Matt will suffer by getting put on mainevent. They will release him 4 months later.
Jeff will sober up, they boys will show up in the indy scene for a few months before going back to TNA or GFW or whatever the fukk their name will be at that point. They will reinvent themselves again and when their contract is due they will go back to wwe and you can basically rinse and repeat their wwe stay.
They should of never left TNA, they were basically given the freedom to do whatever they wanted. Ask the dudleys how their run ended. Bully fukked up big time

WWE were basically banking on being able to use the Broken gimmick, which they can't. They are now relegated to their old gimmick, which is a nostalgia act, and nostalgia acts don't last long, even in WWE. Jeff will get a solo run before they get dumped, but I don't expect them to last more than another year without the right to be Broken.
PS: Matt is fukkin boring without Broken, yes I said it.

It's probably a good thing they can't do the "Broken" gimmick. Would anyone be shocked if they heard Vince had never seen them or if he didn't get it?
I could imagine 'Delightful' being one of Vince's trigger words and the act being tarnished by MeekMahon. The only sad part is Matt can only keep up the hype that he may do it for so long before people realize he's never gonna be broken and one of the hottest acts of last year being used as Jason Jordan's Janetty.
