I see what you're saying. But that's not legally recognized "permission". They just didn't choose to pursue the case. Parents can't give an adult permission to have sex with their minor child. What they can give permission to do is MARRY their minor child, which then takes stat rape off the table.

If he hired someone to kill her there may be footage of a suspect that is clearly not him so they're wanting to be able to tie the singer in before charging him.
