The cold by itself is manageable to some extent (as long as the temperature isn't something ridiculous), but the wind is what a lot of people underestimate. It could be 40 degrees out but if it's blowing 15-20 miles, it will feel more like 30 or even 25 degrees. The kind of shyt that cuts your face and makes you want to hibernate.
What's stupid is sometimes, when it's cold out, I occasionally get hot. I'll put on the jacket to stay warm, then if I'm in a situation where I'm loose and I'm relaxed, cracking jokes and having fun, I still have to put my jacket back on when I go outside. Or I'll be walking around a lot, and all of a sudden, my body will think it's the summer.
Then when the snow comes.......there's no answer for that, fukk shoveling for life.
