Speak for yourself. I get wives not working when the kids are young but once they in school she better have something going on for herself. Especially when the kids are in school for 8 hrs. Only way I’m letting it slide is if she’s homeschooling. But by all means if you can provide it all do you.

I gotta daughter coming and call me part of the problem but I want her to have her independence because you can’t trust any man or any woman more than you can trust yourself at the end of the day.

There is no p;roblem with this, but the general idea stands. Only wives should even be given the option of not working. This idea that a man must provide for women whom they are not married to, is ridiculous. His mother is not married, and really she is trying to mold her son into do for her, that probably none of her previous boyfriends did for her. She is placing improper expectations on her son.
