Respectfully, this young lady didn't say a "real" man. She said a "grown ass man".

Growing up, I never heard my daddy, granddaddy, uncles or adult male cousins using this phrase to describe themselves, nor did I ever hear my mama, granny or auntie using this term to describe them in turn.

What exemplified a man was reflected in his actions...I don't recall the men in my life narrating themselves with this "I'm a grown ass man" statement.

Each and every time I heard this phrase "grown ass man", it's always associated with some kind of fukkery.
