I came across this MEME and it was posted by a single mother who wants her daughter to win this BS contest. Honestly how MAD can you get at the church when people who go there ARE THIS STUPID???

Can't say that I am surprised by this type of 'hustle' from some church goers. I'm not bashing the church itself, but more than a few do things like this because they know parents will do anything to bring attention to their children.

Yeah but exploiting children under the ruse of a religious "pageant" is a new kind of low. If the church needs money then just be straight up and ask for donations. I wouldn't even be mad if they had a real pageant and just charge guests to come. But to say the winner of miss new faith has to raise the most money? When did faithfulness ever have to do with how much money you could raise?

I had written something else, but again what does that have to do with single mothers and the OP? Pageants in church isn't new and pageants themselves aren't either. Pageants for fundraisers in and out of church aren't new either. I'm sure Miss Faith is just the title and its not about faithfulness. Its just a fundraiser for something. They aren't saying its a pass to Heaven.

I was in a debutante at church, we took classes, did public speaking, talents, had to do the bows, sleepovers, learned about history, womanhood, etc.. but it was also a fundraiser as well. They had awards for different categories, but Miss ********** raised the most money. lol.

Every church is different, and some serve no purpose than money again what does that have to do with whatever the OP is trying to say?
