It’s not real wealth. They’re just more likely to buy houses and black couples largely don’t. The numbers don’t add up. How can white people have $100,000 to $200,000 in wealth but also not be able to come up with $1,000 for an emergency expense
It’s the house. Two black people might make $60,000 together but they’ll stay in the hood renting or in an apartment. And they’ll be dating. Not married. White people making the same money will buy a mobile home or a small house in a lower class blue collar suburb. And over time the home ownership will show up as wealth when financially they earning similar amounts of money.note: I understand real estate is wealth but the definition im using is being liquid or as close to cash as possible.

Seems like common sense taking race out of the equation. No college degree means you are most likely working a low paying job which leads to a small net worth.

I disagree bro. I know too many cases of blk women and children getting shytted on by legit scumbags who would not provide any help to their own children. It’s gotta be a case by case basis. My good friend was married for 12 years. They had 5 children together and when she got laid off, he cheated and stopped paying bills. I watched her give plasma to feed her kids and when she finally divorced she tried joint custody but he would not see his own kids to try and control her b/c he didn’t want her to have time to date. Keep in mind he cheated on her and remarried 3 weeks after their divorce was finalized. But the new wife left him too b/c she found emails catching him in lies. He had a job paying 60k and owes 15k in back child support. She has been raising those 4 blk boys and girl with no help. And the kids will tell u themselves that she had never blocked any opportunity for them to see their dad. There are some dudes who are utter scum out here. Bitter blk baby mamas ain’t the only ones ruining lives in our community.
This is the only concession I’ll make. If u legit trying but don’t have it, u get a pass. But there are countless blk women making under the table deals with baby daddies to avoid taking them to court for every bitter baby mama that has become the face of single motherhood in our race. Meanwhile other races of women are ruthless and absolutely cutthroat about shyt like this when it comes to alimony and child support, so the stigma needs to stop for black women.

You do realize that more men are probably dead beats because they expect women to make all the decisions when it comes to a child? Because they put all the responsibility on a woman once they impregnate her?
Once both parties realize that it takes two to make a child and two to raise a child than maybe some parties will stop thinking that only one is responsible for taking care of a child. That goes for both women and men.
