Actually, I met up with a few. (I give men 1 chance, so they invite me out for a beer or two, I'll take them up on that offer and see what they're about )

The weed buddy: He messaged me about how great and refreshing it was to encounter someone like me on okc, it made me skeptical but I was like why not? So we go back and forth then eventually I'm like here's my number, we should text and from there..we talked for a few months before I finally met him (like a couple weeks ago) and got high.

I was v interested in one but I think I scared him off He lurked my page but didn't say anything so I went to his page, read his profile and at the time I was watching GOT and he listed that as one of the three shows he loves. I messaged him back: "while you're just lurking, you should guess which one of the shows on your profile I'm watching right now...." He was kinda weirded out that I took that initiative to like actually message and pick him up.. (it seems like the okc girls dont message anybody because a few guys mentioned the same shyt lol). I told him he should text me and I gave him my number and within 30 mins we were texting and two days later we met up for beers and fries. Hung out, talked, etc.. for a few months and then shyt started to drift apart. He likes my instagram photos and shyt though...that weirds me out...like you can't answer a text but you like my ig photo in the same day He was really cool besides that.

What was the most messages you ever received from someone after you declined? Did it bother you to a point in where you stopped using the app?

I block them after 2, so I don't really know how far they'd go.

I just block them and move on, OKC is easy enough, with enough quality people for me to keep using it.

I am not a fan of the idea of dating sites anyway, as I would prefer things to jump off
more organically. However, I have folks (who I consider decent, regular folk) telling me how they were eating
pretty well.

So one day I got an email ad and my curiousity got the better of me.
I filled out all the profile info, one of the items being that I was a black male, and submit
it. I hadn't put up a pic, so I looked through my pics to see if I had a presentable pic to use.
In the 2-3 minutes I found, I saw that I already had 4 messages - all from white women -
who hadn't even seen my face. I decided that I was not about that particular life.

I've been in a relationship for many years, but I don't know how any dating app could get past this. You probably need some type of vetting process before letting people sign up if it's going to be a "serious" dating app.

I think I found a good solution to the problem, but I'm still cooking.

I can't wait to reveal it, the very few who have seen it are blown away with what I'm trying to do. In fact an app firm in Brooklyn almost tried to run with my idea, but they only had limited information I shared with them.

The best way I can describe it it's that it's a social network that you can also find new people on. I hate the idea of it just being a dating app, I'm asking all these questions because I know how annoying the process can be for both men and women.
