Also didn't see Beyoncé
Kanye west
Drake and future
Evol
Half of Gucci catalogue
Half of future catalogue
Etc etc

Best Buy is dying slow... It's not an indicator of what's hot or not... Where are kids under 30 putting these CDs?! Lol. Computers don't even have cd drives anymore. And DVDs are dead.

Didn't see Evol

I think we all know why I didn't see Ye

Wasn't looking for Beyonce

I love Wop but I wasn't checking for any of his albums yesterday. I ended up copping DS2. You're sort of missing my point. I think we all know Gucci drops more mixtapes than albums but even he has crossed over into the mainstream. Just like Future crossed over back in 2011 and dropped his debut.

Thug/Quan sell singles

They've dropped some great to meh tapes over the last four years. Now let's see what those debut albums sound like

Word I feel you.
My point was your measuring success by an ancient standard. Physical CDs and even albums in the way that your referring to them don't really happen.

And it's progression not regression. We, in the past, gave too many nikkas 15$ for wack ass albums with 2 good songs. It's better this way.

Some truth there but in reality it's still the standard

Thug/Quan suffer from the same thing that makes them who they are

Mixtapes are free.

This is why Lyor is drawing the line for Thug after SS3. He's overexposed for an artist with no album. Quan is in the same boat. These dudes got bangers, solid mixtapes and from the outside looking in you would think they were young hip hop vets when in reality they're still rookies.

The closest they got to the next level was Rich Gang. One of them used Rich Gang to put them in position for bigger things and the other let his personal demons slow him a down a little.

1. Drugs

2. Leaving Rich Gang

Not leaving Thug, Thug was apart of Rich Gang too (he wasn't Rich Gang). He left some of the best insight, direction, production, videogrpahy, engineers etc

Those last three tapes missed all of the bold ^.

Quan needed the best support system around him. He had that when he was around Bird.

Thug moved on from Bird to Lyor. That's arguably an upgrade.

Quan is out here in the ether
No at the bold. He can still get beats from London. Nothing is stopping him. And he can still use Alex Tumay the person who mixed RG. RHQ is the one making these decisions not drugs. He doesn't need Thug but this didn't play out how RHQ thought it would :francis:
