The Other A
i was asked this by a group of black women at a dinner party. it was a "girls party", handful of women from 25 to 50, divorced, married , "fumbled" etc.. sitting around sipping wine and yapping. only reason i was there because im banging the host and had to help set up food and shyt..

i tried to stay away from the party, chilling downstairs on the PS5. i tried to covertly go upstairs quietly grab a plate and go but couldn't make it past the table without being called over to "give a black mans perspective" to their conversation

"soo whats wrong with the black man today" one asked

then i think all of them said collectively "why wont yall lead!!!?" (as in the relationship).. and started to give ridiculous examples

i had to tread lightly answering that dumb ass loaded question while at the same time playing dumb because shawty was turned in her chair like "nikka proceed with caution :usure:"

black women really need to take a break from the "life advice" they're getting from social media :francis:

I mean this with no malice, but I realized over the years that a large number of Black Women are clueless on how to interact with Men. They grew up in such a gyno-centric society the past 50 years, they literally have 0 clue on what makes men tick, our likes or dislikes, how to validate our feelings, how to really get our attention. In their mind, it doesn't matter. They see through you, because Men are a utility and a means to an end

You got to move with finesse playa or create a distraction.

You should have thrown a bomb and said, why is Kandi leaving that great man, and left the scene.

Not targeted at you OP, but this line of thinking fuels women to say and do the things they do

It’s wild. Women are becoming more “elevated” and expecting more. 50 years ago, you meet a partner, marry, have kids, go to church and the man provides and protects. Many women want more now. Many men dont want to give more.
:manny:
Many women want “leaders” (you fill in the definition). How many men are capable of leading?
:patrice:
At the end of the day, all of us are trying to live comfortably and get through life. Let’s do this as a partnership. Not you following behind me while I do the backbreaking work as you critique in the background.
:martin:
Let’s put these goals together and make it happen together.
:wow:

One of the best things my dad taught me is not being afraid to piss off your woman/Mom/sister/female coworker if what you are about to say needs to be said.

Lots of men think they will be struck down by God if they piss off women.

And if you try to lead them, then they say you're controlling them.
