you know, everyone uses that sports related thread excuse a lot to explain away their high post count. but, my question is, when i'm sitting down watching a saints game, why the fukk would i want to be talkin' to you motherfukkers on here? i'd be watching the game with some real friends, chilling out and drinking. why the fukk would i be shooting messages online when i could talk to some real people and have some instant interaction?

its not hard since this forum notifies you when someone quotes you. without that feature, i'd have like 5,000 less post.

i was on sohh for 4 yrs and only had 2k post

Yes, that feature is crazy. You could have said your post in a thread, left it at that to browse another. Then you click the next page of the one you're reading and someone quotes you again in the old thread.

Not all of our real friends are as interested in sports as some of us. :comeon: Watching the game with some of them or family ... :scusthov: at having to entertain some of their silly comments.

Well it can seem pretty daunting or impossible, but like @marcuz said, when 50 people are quoting you a day it makes the number go up fairly quickly. It's not like the topics are really just that "must see". Plus a lot of people post a lot in sports threads and PPV threads. It's way too hard to post in those threads because of how fast they go so I don't even bother anymore. There are other people who have a lot of posts that are just a bunch of spam/forum gossip/beefing/harassment. Now that I'll never understand.

The stan site I post on is worse. It's a bunch of teen girls fighting over how their "faves" are the best popstars and shyt. I shyt you not when I say they make 1000 posts a week going on about their "faves" and how well their album is selling. It's all about relativity I guess.

If not for quote notifications post counts would be a lot lower, IMO.

the people on here are way more knowledgeable and passionate about sports than you'll(well, I have found) usually find. and you know a lot of people don't care about sports outside of playoffs while me personally I watch Saints and Thunder games year round, 1 to 16+ and 1 to 82+.

and when it comes to the Thunder, I live in Louisiana too...not many ACTUAL fans around to hold a discussion with. Plenty of people with similar interests on here tho from all around the country.

Once you realize there are those out there that are just as passionate about your team(s) why not discuss with them while the game is going? They may notice things you didn't and there is also the fact that the opposing teams fans are also on here. It creates a nice atmosphere to the site and makes it a nice choice on game days.

I prefer to watch nba games on espn.com and just monitor scores while cruising on here. I dont get to a lot of my favorite teams threads because i am watching it in person. I cant watch the game and post, because when im drinking, too many tasks are a bad thing

No offense breh, but I'm gonna guess you're more of a casual fan if you can actually find many people out in the real world that you can talk sports with. I can't do it. I hear way too much stupid shyt.
