So you're a first generation American and if you don't see it that way get the fukk outta MY COUNTRY ...MY ANCESTORS, MY PEOPLES died for the freedom some of your muthafukkas take for granted as a black person in the US.
My struggle is different than muthafukkas in Africa, my people are constantly under attack, my women, my brothers, MY PEOPLES....fukk I look like fixing the problems in a land that ain't even mine? Especially when my people in the US are broken?
I kick it with African scholars every week and we're on the same page, "fukk the white man, let's get this paper" ....it's UNIVERSAL. And how can we rep for OUR BROTHERS, OUR TRIBE in the US if WE are weak and disorganized.
How can they count on us for "strength" when we can't even count on ourselves?
Dude...calm down. I'm not trying to have any conflict or negative words with you cause at the end of the day AFRICAN or AMERICAN we are both BLACK!
I f*ck with you (*no homo*) and all my black brothers and sisters across the world. You need to chill man.
You sound like those racist white people with that "get the f*ck out of my country" nonsense....when they didn't build it or belong here at all.
The point is..."what's home to you?"
For me, home is where I'm greeted with smiles and friendliness. For me, that's Pittsburgh.
When I go there...I'm greeted with hostility and indifference. I feel alone. People treat me like I'm a leper. I might as well of never lived there.
In the case of Chicago (like you mentioned)...the city (more like the white people who controlled the show) tore down the projects so the black people who were trapped in there can kill each other just to have a bunch of parentally supported hipsters move in and further gentrify it. How is that home? How is a place home when people treat you like you don't even belong there and should be removed just for being yourself? And make excuses and use code words to hide that fact?
I'm trying to help people out. I got to help myself before I can help others. If I can be a part of a growing project on the other side of the world that can help me make things better there and here...I'm all for it.
But, take from that whatever you want...it is what it is with me.
