Prime example: The episode of Fresh Prince where Will was quickly building a legit career as a successful car salesman....

only for his family to make him quit, go back to school and rack up debt, work at that shytty campus store, and still not know what he wanted to do by the end of the series or have anywhere to live

Not really a whole situation, but that episode of My Wife and Kids where the parents crash Claire's prom. And Michael explains to her that it meant a lot to Jay to be there cos she missed her own prom back in the day as she was pregnant with Junior. Then Clair is all understanding and shyt and goes and hugs her.

So you get pregnant at a young age, miss your own damn prom as a result, then years later, ruin your own daughter's prom, and the show is tryna tell us that we should feel sorry for her?

When some mobster or the main characters boss forces them to entertain their wife/girlfriend/daughter while they go outta town. FOH, where they do that at??

Will is at worst a 3-star recruit, why in the hell does he not pursue a career in basketball. He could have easily had a D1 scholarship, instead he's at a DIII school taking bullshyt classes, no plan in life. He gets a scholarship, maybe acquires a degree he can use or maybe he is good enough to play bball overseas. Either way he's set. Instead he's stuck at some BS school not doin shyt.

Meanwhile Ashley pursues a modeling career which has an even lesser chance of working out and after some reluctance the family says fukk it and lets her do her thing.

Not to mention they let Hilary drop out of school simply because she ain’t wanna be there and gave her a long time to find out what she wanted to do (tv anchor/host). Meanwhile, forcing that “you HAVE to go to school!!” bs on Will, who shows way more real-world aptitude than anyone of them.


I see why Will Smith decided to end this show when he did. No character development. They had him lookin like an extra-mediocre lame out there.

Don't mind if I do:

- That episode of Martin when he put his best friend's business on the radio (even though he amended the situation by claiming he wanted tried to sleep with Shenanah)

That's immediate square up rights regardless


- Zack dated/kissed every girl in Saved by the Bell yet the Screech and Slater didn't wanna acknowledge they share their girls


- Will Smith didn't go get those keys from Robin Given's chest


- EVERY PARENT IN EVERY SITCOM ever just fine and dandy with their daughters just bringing home random dudes every two or so episodes

Nah he wasnt dating nia long at that point. Elise neal was the daughter of pam griers character, who was tryna get at uncle phil. Will went on a date with elise and then we he dropped her off that night her mom seduced will and he slept with her.

While we on it though the basketball shyt from fresh prince did piss me off. I remember the episode he played against allen payne and his team. Had a scout from Georgetown at the game and he balled out. After that episode they just killed the storyline.
