Also, to offset some of the doom and gloom in this thread lol, making good money as a black man is raw. I already make more than my father ever made, and he's great man and dad. I feel proud, and I'm still hungry. making 7-10gs a month is very doable, and when you get to around those numbers you do feel better about yourself.

It's not what I expected. You don't get nearly as much stuff as you think
I'm sure a six figure as a single breh in a decent city is pretty nice.

Once that family come things change, and honestly they should.

Not bragging

We hit 235 in my household last year. I don't feel any different than when we were making 95k when we first got married. We don't have expensive cars for the sake of it. We don't have the biggest house, or any of that.

We had struggles with debt, com8ng out of that put every thing in perspective.

"6 figures" is too wide a threshold

for the things described in op u gotta be 200k+ or just a dumbass with hella debt at 100k

100k is entry level to not living check to check, that's it

(numbers may vary in the south and midwest, i know)
100k is a lot for a bachelor breh

I live a cheaper baller lifestyle. Live in a 2.4k sqft house by the beach, 2 luxury SUV and basically eat out everyday and can buy whatever I want or travel wherever. But to be honest, I feel we're just middle class even though my wife and my salary are over 250k combined. I guess that's living in San Diego for you. Only have a mortgage and the new car loan and no CC debt or student loans since I went to school in Australia and wife's scholarship basically paid 80% of the cost and her parents paid the rest.
