Slightly off topic, but I don't get the appeal of Meek Mill? Dude is a mediocre rapper who seems dense/famous for nothing.
I was just wondering why he was all over sports talk radio this morning."Meek Mill flew to the game in a helicopter" etc.etc..
Embiid & Simmons running over to acknowledge him like he was presidential/King of Zamunda or some shyt?

I don't get it either, it's like the world is one big reality show now, but I love the song in the OP, he's from Philly, and it matches the theme of the thread.

We seen the evolution of Meek Mill in real time. Bummy rapper from Philly, Flamerz mixtapes, fueds with rival artists who some thought were more talented (Quilly, Reed, etc), came with records like Im a Boss, deal with MMG, made hit records, bagged Nicki, got bodied by Drake, came back with more records, got locked up on some bullshyt, now is back out and will make more records.
In short, he is a great representation of being a broke nikka from the city who perservered and accomplished alot even though he aint the most talented...he's always been authentically himself.
I'd much rather champion Meek Mill than a fictual cac boxer in Rocky
